Roundabout Theatre Company just celebrated opening night of the world premiere of Jonah by Rachel Bonds, directed by Danya Taymor. The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of Faceless by award-winning playwright Selina Fillinger (The Armor Plays: Cinched/Strapped, Something Clean), which was presented in the 2019 Powers New Voices Festival and will be directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch (the Globe's The Last Match and also Off Broadway, Bethany, and The Blameless). Faceless runs March 28 a?" April 26, 2020 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Previews run March 28 a?" The acclaimed production of Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song ends its run today, January 6, 2019 at the Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street). The play will embark on a national tour launching fall 2019 at Los Angeles' Center Theatre Group at the Ahmanson Theatre. The national tour will star Michael Urie, reprising his lauded Broadway performance as Arnold Beckoff.

Second Stage Theater, now celebrating its 40th Anniversary, just hosted their Fall Benefit yesterday at Terminal 5 (610 West 56th Street), honoring Tony Award winner and Second Stage Theater alum Harvey Fierstein. The evening featured performances and appearances by Cyndi Lauper, Billy Porter, Rosie O'Donnell, Annaleigh Ashford, Keala Settle, Wayne Brady, Christopher Sieber, Michael Urie and Marissa Jaret Winokur and the original Hairspray Dynamites.
