4th Wall Ends Season With LUCKY STIFF (5/22/2013) - 4TH WALL THEATRE closes its 16th season with the comedy Lucky Stiff, the first musical by one of Broadway's hottest writing teams, Lynn Ahrens (book and lyrics) and Stephen Flaherty (music). This musical farce is based on the book The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo by Michael Butterworth. First produced at Playwrights Horizons off-Broadway (Richard Rodgers Award) the show later went on to win Washington's Helen Hayes Award for Best Musical.

South Camden Theatre Announces 2013 Summer Staged Reading Series (5/22/2013) - South Camden Theatre Company, a nonprofit professional theatre organization located in Camden, New Jersey will host a free staged reading series on Monday evenings this summer that features new works by Laura Toffentti, Joseph M. Paprzycki and Kevin Kautzman. WITHOUTH A PARACHUTE written by Laura Toffenetti and directed by Susan Paschkes will be staged June 24 at 7p.m. PERRENIALS by Joseph M. Paprzycki directed by Sean Close will be staged July 29 at 7p.m. and DREAM OF PERFECT SLEEP written by Kevin Kautzman and directed by Craig Hutchings will be staged August 19 at 7p.m.

McCarter's Autism-Friendly INTO THE WOODS Performance Set for Tonight (5/21/2013) - McCarter Theatre Center has announced an autism-friendly performance of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods tonight, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. Following in the footsteps of successful autism-friendly performances of The Lion King and Mary Poppins on Broadway, this special performance will enable individuals with autism and their families and caregivers the opportunity to experience live musical theater in a supportive and judgment-free environment.

Paper Mill Playhouse's Theater School Director Mickey McNany Honored with NJ Arts Education Awards (5/20/2013) - Paper Mill Playhouse, one of the country's premier not-for-profit theaters, has announced that Theater School Director Mickey McNany has received the New Jersey Governor's Award in Arts Education and The Education in the Arts Award recently presented at two special ceremonies. Ms. McNany was chosen for her work with Paper Mill Playhouse's Theater For Everyone initiative, which in recent years expanded to include children with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Photo Flash: First Look at Barn Theatre's A CHORUS LINE (5/20/2013) - 'A CHORUS LINE', the one 'Singular Sensation' and winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, makes its Barn Theatre debut as the finale to the Barn's 85th Anniversary season. Princeton Ballet School Announces Merit Scholarship Recipients (5/20/2013) - On Saturday, May 18, 2013, over 400 Princeton Ballet School students performed in the school's Annual Spring Production 2013: Swan Lake at Patriots Theater at the War Memorial in Trenton. Before the performance, scholarship recipients for the 2013-2014 academic year were announced, and graduating seniors were honored.

Rhino Theatre to Stage Monty Python's SPAMALOT, 6/7-30 (5/19/2013) - Monty Python's 'Spamalot', the Tony Award Winning Best Musical of 2005 with book and lyrics by Eric Idle and music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, makes its North Jersey Area Theatre Premier at Rhino Theatre for 12 performances beginning Friday, June 7 and playing weekends (Fri/Sat at 8PM; Sun at 2PM) through June 30.

Pierrot Productions Presents LOVERS AND OTHER STRANGERS, 5/31-6/9 (5/16/2013) - Pierrot Productions presents the uproarious comedy "Lovers and Other Strangers" at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre. Performances are Fridays, May 31 and June 7 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, June 1 and 8 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, June 2 and 9 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
