Vicky is living her dream working as a zookeeper, spending her days with penguins, lions, tigers and bears (oh my!). Theatre has always been an interest of hers, but ever since moving to Ohio in 2003 it's become a true passion. Downtown Cleveland – the largest theatre district outside of Manhattan – is a frequent stomping ground. She sees as many touring, local, regional and orchestral productions as she can and is always looking to broaden her theatrical horizons. When not outside at the zoo or inside a theatre, Vicky enjoys photography, bird watching and knitting.

BWW Reviews: THE WHIPPING MAN Provides a Twisting, Emotional Rollercoaster
November 14, 2012
War changes men. Faith changes men. Family changes men. These are a few of the themes central to THE WHIPPING MAN, the Civil War-era drama playing at Cleveland Play House's Second Stage through December 2nd. This is the type of show that sticks with you, the type of show that you'll be thinking about days later. Do yourself a favor and see it before it closes.
BWW Reviews: New BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Tour Can't Compare to Original
November 13, 2012
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is a 'tale as old as time' and while the story and music are wonderful and as good as the audience may remember, the new NETworks touring production - currently playing at PlayhouseSquare - is a far cry from the magic of the original Broadway and touring productions.

A veteran of stage and screen, Pamela Myers has starred in several of Sondheim's works, including INTO THE WOODS, GYPSY, SWEENEY TODD and SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE. She was also a member of the original Broadway cast of COMPANY, for which she received a Tony nomination. Trained at the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, Myers also enjoys teaching and has spent the past four summers sharing her knowledge with students in the Cabaret Conference at Yale University.
BWW Reviews: SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM is a Lively Revue of Masterful Songs, Now thru 7/8
May 28, 2012
When all is said and done, Great Lakes Theater should be extremely proud of its first collaboration of PlayhouseSquare as part of the annual Key Bank Broadway Series. The production is on par with the touring shows that stop in Cleveland. Just because SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM is considered a regional production shouldn't stop people from going to see it. You'll leave the theatre with a deeper appreciate of the theatre process, more knowledge of the amazing Stephen Sondheim and a song or two stuck in your head.

BWW Reviews: IN THE NEXT ROOM Vibrates With Humor - Now Through 5/13
April 25, 2012
When you think of vibrators, the Victorian era generally doesn't come to mind. Most people would probably find the sexual revolution of the 1960s a far more appropriate time frame and yet Sarah Ruhl's IN THE NEXT ROOM, or the vibrator play, takes place in 1880s post-Civil War America when vibrators were regularly used as a medical tool.
BWW Interviews: Talking Shakespeare With ROMEO & JULIET'S Christian Durso
April 17, 2012
Los Angeles native Christian Durso stars as Romeo in Great Lakes Theater's current production of ROMEO & JULIET at the intimate Hanna Theatre in downtown Cleveland. I recently had the opportunity to ask Christian Durso a few questions about Shakespeare, a topic he is obviously passionate about.
BWW Reviews: GLT's ROMEO & JULIET Is a Captivating Romance – Now Through 4/28
April 16, 2012
The tale is one everyone is familiar with - Romeo and Juliet, two star-crossed lovers - fall in love despite the fact they are the children of two feuding families. Their tale ends in tragedy when a series of duels forces them apart but ultimately reunites them in death.
BWW Reviews: THE ADDAMS FAMILY Tour Proves Lackluster, Now Through 4/22
April 12, 2012
Since their creation in the 1930s by cartoonist Charles Addams, the Addams Family clan - Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley and Uncle Fester - has managed to infiltrate popular culture. Whether it's singing along to the finger-snapping theme song from the 1960s television show or instant recognition of the macabre characters, most everyone has a connection to the Addamses. That's one reason the touring production of THE ADDAMS FAMILY was so disappointing.

BWW Reviews: HAIR Brings Hippies To Cleveland Through 1/29
January 26, 2012
From the moment the house lights dim and the opening chords of 'Aquarius' fill the theatre HAIR is a non-stop, energy-driven force of nature. It's also interactive, with members of the Tribe filling the aisles, making connections with members of the audience whenever possible, whether passing out flowers or giving hugs.
BWW Reviews: Lunt, Fontanne Are Focus Of TEN CHIMNEYS - Now Through 2/5
January 25, 2012
Ask any actor or stage technician and they'll probably tell you that the real drama of the theatre occurs backstage and not onstage where the audience can see it. This simple fact is the premise behind TEN CHIMNEYS, currently running now through February 5th at Cleveland Play House's new Second Stage.
