Surflight Theatre is alive and well and eager to begin cleaning up after the ferocious power of Hurricane Sandy passed through beloved Long Beach Island. However, with the theatre's understanding of the needs for care and caution as dictated by the authorities, it regrettably must announce the cancellation of the remainder of performances of Neil Simon's BAREFOOT IN THE PARK (originally scheduled to run through November 4).

Please be assured that Surflight will honor all ticket bearers for future productions by issuing you a gift certificate or refund. As you are all well aware, there are yet no services available to allow the theatre to take phone calls or access its ticketing information, so please be patient. You will be contacted as soon as Surflight is allowed back on the island and all systems are once again in operation.

Continue to monitor the web site at www.surflight.org and follow Surflight's status on Facebook. The theatre will be making frequent announcements as to when it is able to reopen the theatre.

Everyone at Surflight Theatre is safe and being cared for by their friends and families and hope that all their neighbors and business associates on LBI are also enjoying the warmth and safety of home. Your communal spirit of resilience has proven to be inspirational to all. The real clean-up is about to begin and Surflight is ready to pitch in and make LBI the most wonderful place to be on the Jersey Shore.

Surflight thanks its donors and audiences for their ongoing support and looks forward to Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS, beginning its seasonal run on November 23, 2012.

And to quote Mr. Berlin, "…let's go on with the show!"
