St. George Theater Sets Valentine Doo Wop Spectacular for 2/15

Treat your sweetheart to the Valentine Doo Wop Spectacular on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the St. George Theater in Staten Island.

Charlie Thomas' Drifters, Gene Chandler and Kenny Vance & The Planotones are just a few artists that will be performing at this SPECTACULAR event! Mesmerizing doo wop vocals will fill the air as acts like Vito Piccone & The Elegants and Lenny Cocco & The Original Chimes take the stage.

In 1988, Charlie Thomas' Drifters (There Goes My Baby) was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after reaching the top of the charts with songs like Under The Boardwalk and On Broadway. Gene Chandler (The Duke of Earl) is one of many leaders from the 1960's Chicago soul scene and expanded his career as a successful singer songwriter, producer and record executive.
