ReVision Theatre of Asbury Park Presents THE WHO'S TOMMY 7/8-25

ReVision_Theatre_of_Asbury_Park_Presents_THE_WHOS_TOMMY_20010101

ReVision Theatre Of Asbury Park again lives up to its' name with the announcement of an eclectic multi-cultural cast for their highly anticipated production of THE WHO'S TOMMY that runs from July 8-25 at The Carousel House on the boardwalk in Asbury Park produced in association with Theatre C. The cast includes, New York actors Marshal Carolan, Briana Davis, Travis Morin, Paul Aguirre, Crystal Sha'nae, William Lewis, Uton Evan, Chelsea Best, Karen Pangantihon, and local Rumson, NJ child actors Jack and Andrew Newsome.

"Asbury Park is a culturally diverse town as well as a notable music city. We made great efforts to secure actors equally diverse with the range and talent encompassing the best in rock musicianship to represent our mission as well as the extraordinary vision of director Carlos Armesto", says Alecia Brooks, Producing Associate/Casting Director of ReVision Theatre.

Director Carlos Armesto states, "It is so perfect that ReVision Theatre is producing THE WHO'S TOMMY in Asbury Park, because the City, much like Tommy in the musical, is going through a reactivation. That aspect of the city, as well as its history of Rock and Roll and amusement park attractions, will be evoked through the design and staging of the play. When we first see young Tommy, for example, he is a boy who is in love with the circus and vaudeville, and wants to be a performer when he grows up. But that dream is destroyed when he witnesses his father's death. When we travel into his mind, we see it through a kaleidoscopic lens of shocking psychedelic side-show and acrobatic antics".

"Previous interpretations have focused on the spectacle of the story. While some of that aspect is in this production, the main purpose is to highlight the humanity behind the piece. You will see why some of these characters do the shocking actions they do. This is a version of THE WHO'S TOMMY you've never seen before and you won't see anywhere else".

Tommy's book is y Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff with music and lyrics by Pete Townshend , additional music and lyrics by John Entwistle and Keith Moon .

Tickets $15-$40. To order tickets or for more information call 732-455-3059 or order on-line at www.revisiontheatre.org For guaranteed best seating order in advance.
