The Regional Premiere of Kevin Ray Johnson’s The Unpredictable Times will feature 17-year-old Rachel Cholowinski, who previously performed the role of Natalie in the New Jersey premiere of Next to Normal. Cholowinski will play the role of Nicole, "the aspiring actress," in the coming-of-age play running May 4-6 at The Premier Room at The Berkley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park.
The Playwright Johnson will direct the play and Mark Fleming will produce.
The cast will also feature Brandon O’Sullivan as Henry, Carolyn Ruggiero who will be reprising her role of Samantha from the January New York City Staged Reading at Roy Arias Stage IV, along with Kevin Ray Johnson as Jake and Tim King as Carl.
The 2 Act play, according to press notes, "surrounds five friends coming together after graduating college hoping for the summer of their lives. It might be there last time all together before they go out and face the so called 'Real World.' During the summer they will face unresolved issues from the past and present that will question if their friendship that was developed from Childhood is worth saving now as 'Adults.'"
The Unpredictable Times made its New York debut in 2011 in a staged reading at The Directors Studio followed by a run at The Manhattan Repertory Theatre. It also performed a Staged reading earlier this year at Theatre IV at Roy Arias Studios.
The Premier Room at The Berkley Oceanfront Hotel is located at 1401 Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park. Tickets are $12.00 and can be purchased by calling (732) 774-7827 or visiting www.premiertheatre.com
