Faculty Show Artistic Works in Exhibit at Mercer Gallery, 10/16-11/8

The Gallery at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) will continue its fall season with the "MCCC Faculty Exhibit 2012" from Tuesday, Oct. 16 through Thursday, Nov. 8. The public is invited to a reception with the artists on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 5 - 7:30 p.m. A Gallery Talk with the artists will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at noon, as well as Monday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. The MCCC Gallery is located on the second floor of the Communication Building on Mercer's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

"This exhibit will showcase the wide range of talents among our faculty at Mercer," said Gallery Director and Curator Tricia Fagan. "It will be a great learning experience for our students ."

A wide variety of media created by more than 20 members of the faculty will be on display, including video art, pigment F-type print, photography, mixed media on paper, painting, watercolor, video installations, sculpture, digital media, ceramics, photography, and drawing.

Among those who will exhibit are Fashion Design Program Coordinator Allegra Ceci and Fashion Design Instructor Kate Pinner, as well as Theatre/Dance Program Coordinator Jody Person. Game Design faculty member Ric Giantisco will also premiere some of his game and computer art.

Other MCCC professors in the show include Patrick Aulleto, Jonathan Conner, Michael Dalton, Sandra Davis, Yevgeniy Fiks, Tina LaPlaca, Mel Leipzig, Lucas Kelly, Terri McNichol, Paul Mordetsky, Mircea Popescu, Ailyn Ports-Lopez, Dennis Santella, Leonid Siveriver, Kyle Stevenson, Sarah Sweeney, Richard Thompson, Michael Welliver, and Nancy Zamboni.

Gallery hours for this exhibit are: Sundays and Mondays, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; and Wednesday evenings, 5 – 7 p.m. For more information, call the Gallery at 609-570-3589 or visit the website at www.mccc.edu/gallery
